Day 1: Arrival in Paro – Transfer to Thimphu

Day 2: Thimphu Sightseeing
Begin your spiritual journey with visits to the Memorial Chorten, a revered place of daily prayer, and the majestic Buddha Dordenma statue overlooking the valley. Continue to Tashichho Dzong, the seat of Bhutan’s government and monastic body. Explore local markets and enjoy time for personal meditation. Overnight in Thimphu.
Day 3: Thimphu – Gangtey / Phobjikha Valley
Drive to the serene Phobjikha Valley, one of Bhutan’s most beautiful glacial valleys. Visit Gangtey Monastery, an important center of the Nyingma school of Buddhism. Spend time walking through the village and enjoying the peaceful surroundings, ideal for contemplation and relaxation. Overnight in Gangtey / Phobjikha.
Day 4: Gangtey / Phobjikha – Punakha
After breakfast, depart for Punakha via scenic mountain passes. On arrival, visit the magnificent Punakha Dzong, located at the confluence of two sacred rivers. Later, enjoy a gentle walk to Chimi Lhakhang, the Temple of Fertility, a site of deep spiritual significance. Overnight in Punakha.
Day 5: Punakha – Paro
Enjoy the tranquil atmosphere of Punakha before driving back to Paro. The journey offers beautiful landscapes and changing scenery. Upon arrival, check in to your hotel and spend the evening at leisure. Overnight in Paro.
Day 6: Paro Sightseeing
Explore Paro’s spiritual and cultural landmarks, including the National Museum and the impressive Paro Dzong (Rinpung Dzong). Walk across the traditional wooden cantilever bridge and enjoy time in Paro town. Overnight in Paro.
Day 7: Tiger’s Nest Monastery Excursion
Embark on a spiritual hike to the iconic Taktsang Monastery (Tiger’s Nest), dramatically perched on a cliffside. This pilgrimage is the highlight of the journey, offering both physical challenge and spiritual reward. Evening free for rest and reflection. Overnight in Paro.
Day 8: Departure from Paro
After breakfast, transfer to Paro International Airport for your onward journey, carrying peaceful memories and spiritual experiences from Bhutan.
