Day 1: Arrival in Medan – Transfer to Bukit Lawang
Arrive at Medan (Kualanamu International Airport) and drive to Bukit Lawang, the gateway to Gunung Leuser National Park. En route, enjoy views of rural Sumatra and plantations. On arrival, check in to your jungle camp or eco-lodge. Evening at leisure, surrounded by rainforest sounds. Overnight in Bukit Lawang.
Day 2: Gunung Leuser Jungle Trek
After breakfast, begin your guided jungle trek inside Gunung Leuser National Park. Explore dense rainforest while searching for orangutans, gibbons, hornbills, and other wildlife. Learn about tropical flora and fauna from your expert guide. Return to camp by afternoon and relax by the river. Overnight in Bukit Lawang.
Day 3: Jungle Exploration & River Tubing
Continue jungle exploration with shorter treks and wildlife spotting opportunities. In the afternoon, enjoy a fun and refreshing river tubing experience back to Bukit Lawang village. Evening free to relax or enjoy local cuisine. Overnight in Bukit Lawang.
Day 4: Bukit Lawang – Medan Departure
After breakfast, transfer back to Medan for your onward journey, concluding your Gunung Leuser jungle adventure.
